Coaching Staff

Mike Bosma: Head Coach, Distance
Coach Bosma has been coaching distance runners since 2007 including 5 years as assistant cross country coach.  He ran track and cross country in high school and enjoys sharing that experience with his athletes. Mike also enjoys getting to know students outside of the classroom on a more personal level.
Brian Gilbert: Throws
Coach Gilbert has been coaching track and field since 2000.  He attended Mariposa High School and participated in football, basketball, and track.  He threw collegiately at California State University-Stanislaus.  While there, he was an All-American in the hammer throw.  Brian has also coached at the University and Junior College level for 8 years and also coaches with the CVC football team.
Joseph (Kerry) Udell: Pole Vault
Coach Udell has participated, coached, and officiated track & field for 49 years combined.  He competed for the Canadian National Team in middle distance, long jump, and sprints.  He has also competed in decathlon and pole vault.  Kerry established the pole vault program at CVC in 2011 and coached the girls to back-to-back CSL titles in pole vault in 2012-13.
Bronson Espinoza: Throws
Coach Espinoza is 2nd in CVC history for both the shot and the discus.  Bronson threw for the College of the Sequoias. He really enjoys working with students to help them reach their potential.
Kellen Kennedy: Horizontal Jumps
Coach Kennedy has been coaching horizontal jumps for 7 seasons and loves working with young adults. He competed in track and field as well as football for the University of Oregon as well as Fresno State.
Ally Kornelis: High Jump, Hurdles
Coach Kornelis has coached middle school track and field for several years and is in her 2nd year of coaching high school track and field.  Ally is also the head cross country coach at CVC.
